Downs said earlier that he was “really close” to returning, but his status for Week 1 remains very much up in the air. Barring a turn of events on Friday, there’s a good chance the second-year receiver misses the season opener against the Texans, with Week 2 becoming the new target date for a return. Rookie Adonai Mitchell would have some upside in deeper leagues if Downs were unable to go.
