Justin Herbert completed 16-of-27 attempts for 179 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers’ Week 4 loss against the Chiefs, adding three rushes for zero yards.

Herbert was severely hobbled by a high ankle sprain he suffered last week. He was unable to move around the pocket and often had to make flatfooted throws that sailed over the intended target. Herbert targeted Ladd McConkey on a game-high nine throws, including his only touchdown of the day — a perfectly placed ball in the back of the end zone in the first quarter. The run-heavy nature of the Chargers offense likely means Herbert won’t be a fantasy factor in 2024 beyond some streaming appeal in good matchups. He’ll face a tough Denver defense in Week 5.
