KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reports the Texans are expected to have Dameon Pierce back for Week 4’s matchup against the Jaguars.

Wilson also reports that Joe Mixon is still considered week-to-week with his ankle injury, meaning Pierce could be in line for a busy afternoon on Sunday if active. The Texans’ rushing attack averaged just 2.7 YPC in last week’s loss to the Texans, with Cam Akers’ 9-21-0 line leading the team. Pierce rushed three times for 16 yards in the Texans’ Week 1 matchup against the Colts but is in need of a bounce-back season after averaging 2.9 YPC in 2023. He could have some RB3 appeal in fantasy leagues if active.
