Kyler Murray completed 21-of-31 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown in a 34-28 Week 1 loss to the Bills, while adding 57 yards rushing.

Murray looked good but was really conservative, averaging just 5.2 yards per completion on Sunday, which is a surprise considering the Bills are replacing their safeties in 2024 and it was thought to be a major weakness of their defense. Murray also only targeted Marvin Harrison Jr. three times while relying heavily on Trey McBride and Greg Dortch, which was likely due to the Bills daring him to beat them underneath. Murray did make some big plays with his legs, but he also took four sacks while spending a lot of time dancing around the pocket. It still should be a strong fantasy season for Murray, but we can’t help feeling like he could have had a bigger game this week. We’ll see if he can build on it next week against the Rams.
