Brandon Aiyuk

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk is reporting to training camp.

Though Aiyuk requested a trade last week, he is expected to report to camp. The 49ers have not had extensive contract talks since May, leading to Aiyuk’s trade request, but a holdout does not seem to be happening and he avoids any fines that he would have incurred as the result of a holdout. This is less of an indicator that a contract extension is on the horizon and more a player saving money on fines, as Aiyuk and the 49ers still seem to be far apart in talks.
