There hasn’t been much progress made on Rice’s legal situation from earlier this offseason when he was seen leaving the scene of a street race that resulted in a crash. According to Rapoport, on a conference call with the NFL’s Jeff Miller, Miller said the league is monitoring Rice’s situation and will monitor all legal developments. It sounds like there’s a chance Rice could be suspended at some point in the season, but he’s in the clear for the time being. Rice totaled 79-938-7 as a rookie in 2023 but will face added competition for targets with Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy now on the roster. With that said, the fear of a looming suspension has pushed him down draft boards, making him a value for anybody who was willing to take a shot on him despite his legal issues.
