Noah Fant (groin) did not participate in Thursday’s practice.

Fant is going the wrong way after missing Wednesday’s practice and now not getting in at all ahead of Week 9. The tight end still has a chance to play against the Rams, but if he can’t go — something that looks more likely by the day — it’ll be AJ Barner who gets the boost up.
