LaFleur said Watson has worked this offseason to discover the source of his persistent hamstring issues after missing eight games and parts of others with soft tissue injuries in 2023. Watson told reporters this offseason that he was dedicated to addressing his seemingly never-ending hamstring woes in 2024. “If I can find out what kind of things can possibly be leading to it, make sure I’m doing the right things in the offseason, doing the right things during OTAs, into training camp, just find ways to make sure I’m doing everything I can to be conscious of it,” Watson said. Watson’s father recently said on the X platform that “collaborating specialists found the source” of Watson’s hamstring injuries and that a “proper plan” would be put into place headed into offseason workouts. Watson, who had 422 yards and five touchdowns in 2023 over nine games, has proven to be an effective downfield threat when healthy.
