Jonathon Brooks

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Carolina will open the 21-day window for Jonathan Brooks (knee) to return from injured reserve this week.

Brooks has been sidelined while returning from an ACL reconstruction. This does not mean that Brooks will be active this week, but it does mean that he’ll be able to practice ahead of being activated from injured reserve. (Canales said he’s hoping that Brooks will be formally activated later today.) We’ll keep a close eye on his practice status this week ahead of Carolina’s Week 7 game against the Commanders. Even if he does play this week, it’s likely the Panthers will want to see him look like himself on the field before they give him a starter’s workload. This news could wind down Chuba Hubbard’s fantasy value eventually, though.
