Panthers ruled out Diontae Johnson (ribs) for Week 8 against the Broncos.

Johnson said earlier in the day that he expected to play despite not practicing all week. Clearly feeling differently about his Week 8 availability, the Panthers have decided to sit their WR1 in a game that’s poised to be a disastrous one for everyone on Carolina’s offense. As if Bryce Young’s return weren’t bad enough, it comes against a Broncos defense that’s top five in points and yards allowed per game.
