Rashod Bateman

Rashod Bateman

BALWR • #7

Ravens signed Rashod Bateman to a two-year contract extension.

Bateman’s rookie deal was set to expire after the 2024 season if the team didn’t pick up his fifth-year option. The option would have Baltimore $14.4 million for the 2025 season alone, making them unlikely to pick it up. Instead, they get to keep Bateman around for a few more years on a cheap deal while Bateman gets more guaranteed money down the road. Head coach John Harbaugh already talked him up this offseason, saying he will see the ball “a lot more” in 2024. Bateman has had a sluggish start to his career because of injuries and a lack of playing time. He peaked at 515 yards on 46 catches as a rookie. However, this deal suggests he still has a shot at breaking out, making him worth hanging onto in dynasty leagues.
