Clyde Edwards-Helaire

RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire was not seen participating in team drills during the portion of the Chiefs’ practice open to the media on Sunday.

Edwards-Helaire missed multiple practices this summer, sidelined by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is unclear as to whether he missed today’s practice due to the PTSD issue but this is now a situation to monitor closely. The Chiefs kick off Week 1 play against the Ravens on Thursday, making Sunday the equivalent of a typical Wednesday practice. Veterans, like Edwards-Helaire, and players working through injury often rest during Wednesday’s practice so his Sunday absence could ultimately be a non-issue. As expected, WR Hollywood Brown (sternoclavicular joint injury) also did not practice.
