Tony Pollard

RB Tony Pollard rushed five times for 17 yards and one touchdown and caught 2-of-2 targets for 27 yards in the Titans’ preseason game against the Saints on Sunday.

PFF’s Nathan Jahnke notes Pollard played 100.0 percent of the snaps on the Titans’ first drive. Nominal co-starter Tyjae Spears handled 5-of-6 snaps on the second drive and subbed out for Pollard for a fourth-and-one pass play. Pollard maintained a slight edge as the Titans’ actual starter this preseason though the backfield does appear to be a true split with both players operating in three-down roles.
