RB Tyjae Spears rushed four times for 12 yards and caught 1-of-1 targets for 12 yards in the Titans’ preseason game against the Saints on Sunday.

Spears handled featured running back duties for the first-team offense’s second drive, subbing out only for a fourth-and-one pass play. Spears’ status as the Titans’ nominal co-starter is best thought of as a No. 2 running back with a high-volume, dual-threat workload. His access to high-value touches raises his ceiling above that of a typical No. 2 running back though.
