PIT • QB • #3
Sunday’s performance was everything we’ve come to expect from Wilson this season. He did what he needed to keep the offense on schedule, while the Steelers’ ground game set the tone for much of the afternoon. His first touchdown pass of the day came on a 10-yard strike Van Jefferson in the second quarter, but big plays were at a premium with George Pickens (hamstring) sidelined in this one. Wilson still managed to complete four passes of 20-plus yards, one of which came on a 20-yard touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth late in the third quarter, but little was asked of the veteran quarterback with the game well in-hand for most of the afternoon. Wilson and the Steelers will have their work cut out for them in Week 15 when they face the Eagles. Wilson shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a mid to low-end QBs in the in-state rivalry.
