Russell Wilson
PIT • QB • #3
Russell Wilson completed 29-of-38 passes for 414 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in a 44-38, Week 13 win over the Bengals.
Wilson dissected the Bengals all game long, and his lone interception was on a play where Cam Taylor-Britt threw George Pickens to the ground by his helmet and then stepped in front to pick off the pass intended for Pickens. The Steelers game-planned to use the Bengals’ defensive aggression against them, using misdirection and screen passes to tremendous success throughout the game. That also opened up the deep parts of the field for Wilson to hit on a few big plays to Pickens and Van Jefferson. This was the second-most yards Wilson has ever thrown for in his career, and he likely would have had more if the Steelers didn’t lean into the running game with a big lead in the fourth quarter. He should be able to keep the ball rolling next week against the Browns.
