Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald said it’s “looking optimistic” that DK Metcalf (knee) will return for Week 9 against the Rams.

Metcalf attempted to play in Week 8’s loss to the Bills but was ultimately ruled inactive. The veteran receiver suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain in Week 7’s win over the Falcons and was not expected to miss more than a game or two upon his initial diagnosis. We’ll see how his week of practice goes, but it sounds like he’s trending in the right direction heading into the week.
