Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba told team reporter John Boyle that he’s “loving what [he’s] seeing” from new OC Ryan Grubb’s offense.

Smith-Njigba went on to note Grubb’s frequent use of motion and “putting us in the right position to make plays.” The young receiver famously suffered through a shallow, 6.4-yard average depth of target (aDOT) in former OC Shane Waldron’s offense last year. Smith-Njigba’s praise suggests he will be used in a more diverse role under Grubb, which bodes positively for his fantasy outlook. Grubb’s 2023 Washington offense produced a 19.5 percent explosive pass play rate (15-plus yards) when using motion, seventh-best among Power Five offenses.
