Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer confirms Ricky Pearsall (NFI) will return to practice next week.

Coach Kyle Shanahan hinted as much on Thursday but wouldn’t confirm it. Practicing will just be step one for a first-rounder who was having a mixed camp even before his extremely unfortunate off-the-field incident. It’s possible Pearsall will be slowly ramped up before returning following the 49ers’ Week 9 bye. Pearsall is going to have a difficult time carving out 12-team re-draft value behind Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle.
