Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he’s optimistic Jaylen Warren (hamstring) will be available for Week 1 against the Falcons.

Warren is practicing this week after picking up a hamstring injury on August 17 against the Bills. The original prognosis seemed to suggest Warren could miss opening day, leaving Najee Harris as the Steelers’ workhorse back. It wouldn’t be entirely surprising if Warren’s snaps and touches were somewhat limited against Atlanta. Cordarrelle Patterson could mix in alongside Harris against his former team more than many expect.
