He suffered a broken collarbone against Los Angeles on Saturday. Stover caught four passes for 28 yards against the Chargers in the Wild Card Round and finishes his rookie season with a 15/133/1 receiving line. There’s no reason to expect the team to move on from Dalton Schultz in the short-term, but Stover could eventually become Houston’s No. 1 tight end in 2026 once getting out of Schultz’s contract becomes less onerous.
