Dameon Pierce

Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

It was previously reported that Pierce was expected to return for Week 4. His absence for the first practice of the week casts some doubt on that update. Pierce will likely split the backfield with Cam Akers if he suits up on Sunday. Joe Mixon is dealing with an ankle injury of his own and doesn’t look likely to return this week. Pierce is worth a stash in deeper leagues but nothing more.
