Texans RB Dameon Pierce (ankle) was not seen participating in Friday’s practice.

Pierce appears unlikely to seize his potential starting opportunity with starter Joe Mixon (ankle) also absent at the beginning of Friday’s practice. Cam Akers is the expected starter with Dare Ogunbowale likely handling passing downs.
