The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports Jordan Love and the Packers are “all making progress” toward reaching an extension.

Love continues to avoid the practice field as he and the Packers work toward a long-term contract extension. The franchise quarterback is in the building but isn’t expected to see the field until his long-term deal is confirmed. Things have reportedly been amicable between Love and the team, with GM Brian Gutekunst saying earlier in the week that he believes a deal is close to being done. The Packers undoubtedly want to get Love on the field sooner rather than later, so we’d expect a deal to get done before his “hold-in” stretches beyond the first week of camp.
