Take this with a grain of salt, but according to Boyd, Pierce has outperformed second-round rookie Adonai Mitchell early in training camp while making several big plays in practice. He also notes that Mitchell “has not been the same playmaker he was during the spring” when he repeatedly turned heads in practice. Pierce caught 32 passes for 514 yards and two touchdowns last season and has a career receiving line of 73-11074. He was targeted on just 10.4 percent of his routes and has a career TPRR of 0.128. The fantasy ceiling for Pierce is low, but it’s possible this early camp hype carries over into the regular season.
