Khalil Shakir

Khalil Shakir

BUFWR • #10

The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia believes Khalil Shakir “has been [Buffalo’s] best receiver in 2024, and it hasn’t been close.”

Shakir is fresh off a Monday night performance in which he caught all six of his targets for 72 yards and a score against Jacksonville. He now leads the Bills with a 20 percent target share; no other Buffalo wideout has a target share higher than 10 percent. Buscaglia pointed out that Shakir has “crushed man coverage when given a chance, allowing his sneaky shiftiness to take hold while also remaining the Bills’ best yards-after-catch threat in the receiver room.” Running 81 percent of his pass routes from the slot through Week 3, Shakir has become Josh Allen’s go-to guy in high leverage situations and should continue to draw looks in the middle of the field.
