George Pickens

George Pickens

PITWR • #14

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac said he doesn’t think the Steelers are expecting George Pickens (hamstring) to play in Week 15 against the Eagles.

It’s just one man’s opinion, but when speaking on 102.5 WDVE’s Morning Show with Randy Baumann, Dulac said Pickens has a Grade 2 hamstring injury “that’s typically two weeks” recovery time, while adding, “So I don’t think they’re expecting him to play in Philadelphia either.” Pickens picked up the injury last Friday, so he’ll barely be a week removed from the injury when the Steelers suit up next Sunday to take on the Eagles. He did test his hamstring during pre-game warmups before ultimately being ruled out, but this will definitely be something to watch out for when the team releases its first injury report on Wednesday. If Pickens is unable to go, the Steelers could once again be looking at Calvin Austin, Van Jefferson, and Scotty Miller as their top three receivers against a stout Eagles defense.
