Will Levis

Will Levis

Titans VP of Football Operations Chad Brinker said teams are still “checking in” on a potential trade for the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Not long after head coach Brian Callahan said the Titans were honing in on four players, Brinker reiterated that the team is “going to go through the whole thing” while leaving things open to the possibility of a trade. If the Titans are open to taking a quarterback to replace Will Levis, it’s hard to imagine them not taking a shot on Miami’s Cam Ward or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders with the No. 1 pick next month. That said, if the Titans prefer to go in a different direction than quarterback, they could fetch a decent haul for another team to move up to the top spot and take their quarterback of choice. With nearly a month to go until the draft, the Titans still have plenty of time to decide on what to do with their pick, but Brinker’s comments serve as a good reminder that their decision is far from settled.
