MIA • QB • #1
Tua took the field for the first time since suffering another terrifying concussion in Week 2 against the Bills. Head coach Mike McDaniel didn’t waste any time easing him back into the lineup and went with a pass-heavy approach out of the gates. Tagovailoa attempted 38 passes compared to just 22 carries for the backfield. Per usual, Tua got the ball out fast and it helped keep him out of harm’s way for most of this game as he took just one sack. Despite coming away from the game with a loss, it was a positive day for at least the Miami offense. This was their first game topping 20 points this season. The Dolphins’ season is teetering on the edge at 2-5, but the offense is back to business after a dreadful stretch with Tua out of the lineup. He will rank as a high-end QB2 for his Week 9 matchup with Buffalo.
