The double-digit reception effort was the first of Robinson’s career, though as you can see from the box score, it didn’t amount to a ton of production. 6.5 yards per reception would be a poor mark for a running back. Targeted short of the sticks seemingly every third down, Robinson wasn’t shaking many tackles despite his shiftiness. It was an ineffective game plan from the Giants, but it’s hard to see what their alternatives are. Robinson is really the only viable pass catcher after all-world rookie Malik Nabers, who is now battling a concussion. Up to 18 grabs over the past two weeks, Robinson seems ready to operate as a classic “PPR scam” WR4.
