Aaron Rodgers

NYJQB • #8

Aaron Rodgers completed 17-of-28 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns in the Jets’ 25-22, Week 8 loss to the Patriots.

Over now? The Jets are sitting at 2-6 with only the most difficult paths back into playoff contention. The only real hope is that their schedule has been unbelievably difficult to date, but the Pats were supposed to be a let-up spot. Instead, the Jets’ defense couldn’t get off the field on third down, and Rodgers couldn’t make enough big plays with his arm despite mostly clean passing. It was not clean football, however, as the Jets’ offensive operation was an absolute shambles. Pre-snap penalties and blown timeouts took the day. There’s just a dread sense hanging over this team, and particularly this offense, that refuses to dissipate. Rodgers has found trade addition Davante Adams just seven times for 84 scoreless yards across two contests. That is not going to get it done, and it is unclear what will at this point. The Texans’ feisty defense awaits as a short-week Thursday/Halloween night matchup.
