Gardner Minshew II

Gardner Minshew completed 12-of-17 passes for 137 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, rushing two times for 22 yards in the Raiders’ 18-34, Week 5 loss to the Broncos before being benched.

Minshew was pulled in favor of Aidan O’Connell toward the end of the third quarter. Minshew was up-and-down before exiting, though his performance was lowlighted by a brutal end zone interception in which he simply overthrew a wide-open Brock Bowers on the Raiders’ third drive. Pat Surtain intercepted the pass and returned it for a 100-yard pick-six. Minshew is a QB2/3 if named the starter against the Steelers in Week 6.
