Jordan Love

Jordan Love

GBPQB • #10

Jordan Love completed 32-of-54 passes for 389 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions in the Packers’ 31-29, Week 4 loss to the Vikings.

Down 28-0 at the 5:28 mark of the second quarter, Love had just 118 yards at halftime. That’s when the comeback game script hit, fueling Love to a new career high in yards by 67. The four-score effort was also his first. Of course, the three-INT effort was his second. Especially in the first half, Love seemed like he wasn’t planting well after racing back from his knee injury, struggling to find the proper velocity and routinely turf missiling passes. A “hospital ball” got Christian Watson injured. He also took forever to get on the same page with Dontayvion Wicks, though Love eventually found each of Wicks and Jayden Reed for at least 78 yards. Love’s deep ball was something of an abject disaster, while he was also limping around a bit. It’s possible he returned too early. He at least has a full week to get further healthy as the Packers embark on a Week 5 road trip to face the Rams’ sorry defense. Love should be more in the QB1 conversation for that one after this week’s probationary stint outside the top 12.
