Allen, who was traded to the Bears earlier this week, is in the final year of the four-year extension he signed with the Chargers before the start of the 2020 season. Allen will be 32 at the start of this season but is coming off a year in which he totaled a career-high in receptions (108) and the second-most receiving yards of his career (1,243) despite playing in only 13 games. Allen would’ve turned in a career year across the board if not for an injury sidelining him for the final four weeks of the regular season. Regarding an extension with the Bears, Allen said the two sides will “get there down the line.”
