Anthony Richardson

Anthony Richardson

INDQB • #5

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports Anthony Richardson (oblique, questionable) will serve as the emergency No. 3 quarterback against the Titans and Joe Flacco will start.

Oh dear. Richardson practiced in full this week, but he supposedly still wasn’t quite ready to face the Titans. The reality is, you usually only get an extra week to heal if the team isn’t super happy with your current performance. This buys the Colts one more week as they try to sort out whether they will contend for a playoff spot, and what the best course of action at QB will be going forward. With Flacco starting, Michael Pittman and Josh Downs are much livelier fantasy options. Despite those pessimistic words, we would expect Richardson to eventually be named Week 7 starter against the Dolphins.
