Sam LaPorta

Sam LaPorta caught all six of his targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in a Week 8 win over the Titans.

LaPorta was tackled from behind on the one-yard line in the second quarter and then watched as Amon-Ra St. Brown scored a touchdown. On the next drive, the Lions drew up a trick play that saw David Montgomery throw a touchdown pass to a wide-open LaPorta in the back of the end zone. The Lions offense didn’t need to do much today, but LaPorta had double the targets of the next-closest receiver, so that might be how the Lions plan to approach Week 9 without Jameson Williams as well.
