Texans TE Cade Stover underwent emergency appendectomy surgery and will not play in Week 15 against the Dolphins.

Per the team, Stover is expected to make a full recovery and is doing well. The rookie could miss a few weeks while he recovers but isn’t likely to land on injured reserve. Stover has 14 receptions for 132 yards and a touchdown this season. Irv Smith will serve as Dalton Schultz’s backup while Stover is sidelined.
