Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence

JAXQB • #16

Trevor Lawrence completed 15-of-20 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars’ 32-16, Week 7 win over the Patriots.

The Jags fell behind by 10 points early in this game and it looked like owner Shad Khan would be firing Doug Pederson before the third quarter. Lawrence and the offense regrouped with consecutive touchdown drives and a punt return touchdown to end the first half. The second touchdown drive featured Lawrence’s highlight of the day, a 58-yard rainbow to rookie Brian Thomas Jr. Jacksonville scored a field goal on their opening drive of the second half and subsequently took the air out of the football. Lawrence only attempted 10 passes over the final two quarters and half of them came on the first drive. It wasn’t a flash performance from Lawrence, but he got the job done with efficiency and let his running backs do the rest of the work. He will remain in the QB2 ranks for his Week 8 matchup with the Packers.
