Trevor Lawrence

JAXQB • #16

Trevor Lawrence completed 13 of 23 pass attempts for 166 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars’ 20-17 Week 1 loss against the Dolphins, adding one rush for eight yards.

Lawrence and the Jags got off to a promising start, scoring 17 points in the first half. They scored on 3-of-5 drives in the first two frames. All three of their scoring drives included a completion of 20+ yards from Lawrence. Then, in the second half, the wheels came off. The Jags didn’t score a single point while having a trio of three-and-out drives plus two more four-play drives. Things would look a lot different had Travis Etienne not capped off a 94-yard drive with a fumble at the two-yard line, but that doesn’t excuse their second-half collapse. The Jags will look to get back on track in Week 2 against the Browns.
