Agbaji got off to a scorching hot start to Friday’s game and scored 17 points in the first quarter alone while shooting a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor, which included five three-pointers. Unfortunately, he didn’t do much over the final three quarters to add to his spectacular start. This tied his season-high for both points and three-pointers, both of which were set in a late-November win over the Pelicans. Agbaji has been in and out of the lineup recently, so his status for Sunday’s finale in San Antonio is unclear.

This was Lively’s fourth appearance since he injured his ankle back in the middle of January. His 18 minutes in this game were the most he has played since prior to his injury, and while it wasn’t much more than he played in his previous three games, he was able to record his first double-double since January 9. He had a total of 12 points and eight rebounds in his last three games, and he was held without a rebounds against the Lakers on Wednesday. It’s good to see Lively playing well after such a lengthy absence.

Lawson, who signed a contract with the Raptors earlier in the day on Friday that will keep him with Toronto through the end of the 2025-26 season, played well in his first game since signing the new deal. He recorded his second career double-double, with the first coming a little over a month before this one. Lawson should once again play a significant role in the season finale in San Antonio on Sunday, but he isn’t a player that will carry much value over to next season.

Buzelis may not be in the conversation for Rookie of the Year, but his recent performance should have Chicago fans encouraged. This was his sixth-straight game making at least 50 percent of his shots, and he has now scored in double figures in 10 of his last 11 outings. The Bulls clinched the ninth seed in the East, which means Sunday’s season finale against the 76ers won’t matter. However, it may be a good opportunity for Buzelis to play a premier role. Unless Billy Donovan opts to rest him, the rookie should be a focal point of the offense to close out his first regular season.

Phillips used a big third-quarter performance to help Chicago close the door on this game and set a new career-high for scoring. He scored 15 of his 23 points in the third quarter alone to help lead the Bulls to a 30-point victory. The 2023 second-round pick didn’t play a significant role as a rookie, but he has played a larger role in year two. He started in place of Josh Giddey, and with Chicago locked in as the ninth seed in the East, Phillips will likely start against the 76ers in the season finale on Sunday with the veterans resting in preparation for the Play-In Tournament.

For the second-straight game, Vucevic fell exactly two assists shy of recording a triple-double. Chicago has now won their last five games with Vucevic available, and he has recorded a double-double in each of them. His recent production is more in line with the numbers he was putting up early in the season, which is a good sign for the Bulls as they enter the postseason. They are locked in as the ninth seed in the East and will host Miami in the first game of the Play-In Tournament. Vucevic will likely sit against the 76ers on Sunday in the season finale.

Vukcevic was able to provide some offense off the bench for Washington in a game where the team struggled to score. He scored 11 of their 43 points in the first half and was one of four players to score in double figures in a game where they scored just 89 points as a team. This is the second year in a row where Vukcevic has had a strong finish to the season, but it’s unclear how he’ll fit into the rotation next season. Still, he’ll play a lot in Miami on Sunday to close out the season.

Shamet has not been a factor in fantasy basketball, but he’s made at least one three-pointer in 12 straight games. The five he hit on Friday were the most in a game for the Knicks wing since April 1, when Shamet knocked down six in a win over the 76ers. With Miles McBride (12/1/1/1 with three three-pointers in 18 minutes) being New York’s best bench scorer, Shamet’s production will be needed in the playoffs. Despite Friday’s loss, the Knicks clinched the three-seed due to Indiana’s loss to Orlando. They’ll face Detroit in the first round, which begins next weekend.

With the Pelicans rotation running thin and the team losing big to the Heat Friday, Reeves managed to play 34 minutes off the bench. The 24-year-old shooting guard has now played at least 30 minutes in five of his last six games, though he’s reached 20 points in only one of those games. With Reeves seeing starter-level minutes, he made for an ideal pickup for fantasy managers in active leagues in the last week of the regular season.

The rookie set a new career-high for assists on his way to the second point-assist double-double of his career. Carrington has scored in double figures in each of his last six games and has had at least six assists in six of his last seven games. The 2024 lottery pick has had a strong rookie season and will wrap things up in Miami on Sunday. Depending on how the draft lottery shakes out, Carrington could be an intriguing option heading into next season.

Anunoby returned to the Knicks’ lineup after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Pistons and struggled offensively. Shooting 33.3 percent from the field overall, the Knicks forward was 2-of-9 from beyond the arc. The good news for fantasy managers in active leagues is that Anunoby only committed one turnover. Hence, the field goal percentage was the only category in which they took a hit. The Knicks visit the Nets on Sunday in a regular season finale that won’t impact the standings, as New York secured the three-seed due to Indiana’s loss to Orlando.

Payton recorded a statistical oddity Friday against the Heat as the 31-year-old point guard put up a double-double with 10 rebounds and 13 assists. Payton was also -41 in 29 minutes as the Pelicans lost to the Heat by 49 points. Payton has been a reliable assist man in the final weeks of the regular season, though he hasn’t provided much else outside of the 10 rebounds Friday.

Adebayo’s line would’ve been reasonable had he played at least 35 minutes Friday against the Pelicans, but it was all the more impressive because he only played 22 minutes as the Heat won by 49. The 27-year-old center still managed a double-double and hit four three-pointers. While he got off to a slow start this season, Adebayo has finished the year strong for fantasy managers that stuck with the Heat big man.

With the Pacers losing to the Magic on Friday, the Knicks secured the three-seed in the East before their game concluded. That doesn’t take away the sting of blowing a 23-point lead, but New York can take some solace in Brunson looking much sharper than he did in Thursday’s loss to the Pistons. However, while he shot over 50 percent from the field, he only had two assists on the night. Mikal Bridges (17/2/8/1 with one three-pointer) was the more productive playmaker against the Cavaliers, but the Knicks will need Brunson to do a bit more in setting up his teammates during the postseason. New York’s regular-season finale against the Nets may be seen as an opportunity to rest the starters before their first-round matchup with Detroit. If so, Brunson won’t help fantasy managers in active leagues.

Ware played just 26 minutes as the Heat blew out the Pelicans by 49 points. The 20-year-old center still managed to put up a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Ware is just scratching the surface of his potential in his first season in the NBA. He’s been a top-100 player in fantasy since the All-Star break and remains a growth stock that we’re interested in buying in future seasons.

Herro had 22 points on just 10 shots in 22 minutes against the Pelicans Friday. The 25-year-old point guard was +46 as the Heat won by 49 points. Herro was probable with a thigh injury, but would’ve played more minutes had the game been closer. The Heat take on the Wizards in the season finale Sunday, where a similar situation could arise as the game is only meaningful to the Heat.

The double-double streak stayed alive for Champagnie as he finished with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds for a fourth-straight game on Friday. This tied his season-high for rebounds and was his highest-scoring performance since he scored 31 points in a loss to the Knicks in December. Champagnie should continue to play a significant role for Washington in their season finale in Miami on Sunday, though it’s unclear what his role will look like next year with a healthy Wizards team.

Despite having secured the East’s top seed for the playoffs, the Cavaliers went all-out with their four available starters on Friday. Mobley, who did not play in Thursday’s loss to the Pacers, logged 35 minutes and recorded his 36th double-double in the comeback win over New York. He finished the 2023-24 campaign with 22 double-doubles and has benefitted from the Cavaliers making him more of an offensive focal point. Cleveland ends its regular season on Sunday against the Pacers; we’ll see how much Mobley and the other starters play.

Strus was one of three Cavaliers starters who returned to the lineup after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Pacers. He shot 5-of-12 from three on the night, including three makes during the fourth quarter. Strus’s fantasy value is limited to that of a specialist since he shares the court with four standouts ahead of him in the offensive pecking order. However, he can be helpful to fantasy managers needing three-pointers, rebounds and the occasional defensive stats. Strus and the Cavaliers host the Pacers in their regular-season finale on Sunday, and the outcome will not impact either team’s playoff seeding.

As he did in Cleveland’s win at Madison Square Garden on October 28, Garland took over during the fourth quarter on Friday. The All-Star point guard shot 6-of-6 from the field in the final frame, with five of the makes occurring in the restricted area. Garland’s charge helped Cleveland complete their rally from a 23-point deficit to win a game that had no impact on their seeding for the upcoming playoffs. With Sunday’s opponent, Indiana, also locked into its seed, fantasy managers should not expect to see Garland playing 30-plus minutes in the regular-season finale.

Furphy was not one of the Pacers moved into the starting lineup for Friday’s game, but the rookie played plenty since all five starters were unavailable. The performance was encouraging, as Furphy shot over 50 percent from the field and finished one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Friday’s defeat locks Indiana into the four-seed in the East, so Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Cavaliers may be another game where the starters are rested. If so, Furphy will be worth slotting into lineups in active deep leagues.

Williams played only 24 minutes Friday as the Hornets lost to the Celtics by 36 points. The 23-year-old center still managed to record a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Williams has proven to be an excellent big man when available this season. While he carries additional risk due to a back injury that kept him from being traded to the Lakers midseason, he surely won’t fly under the radar in drafts next season.

The 27-year-old small forward was feeling it from behind the three-point line as he made six three-pointers on his way to a 20-point game. The Celtics have a rematch with the Hornets Sunday afternoon and it’s likely Hauser will once again have a significant role.

The second-year forward has shown flashes of his potential throughout the season, and Friday was another of those instances. Unfortunately for Walker and dynasty league managers who have him rostered, the Pacers’ depth has capped his ceiling significantly. Indiana is locked into the four-seed in the East, so Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers may be another opportunity for Walker to start.

With four starters sidelined and the fifth, Cory Joseph, only playing six minutes, Black played plenty on Friday. While the points, rebounds, assists and steals were solid, the second-year point guard was also responsible for five turnovers. Black will be in Orlando’s postseason contention, but the last two games should mean more opportunities for him to play with the ball in his hands. Overall, he was good on Friday, and Sunday’s game against the Hawks will present a similar opportunity.

As a result, four starters did not play on Friday, and Cory Joseph only logged six minutes. The absences meant more opportunities for Queen, and the two-way contract guard took advantage. He only missed two shots on the night, providing solid value in multiple categories. Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Hawks won’t mean anything, so Queen may get to play extended minutes again.

That puts him 14 games behind LeBron James and James Harden, who are tied for second in NBA history with 105 such games. Young is getting hot at the right time for the Hawks with the postseason approaching. Atlanta clinched the eighth seed in the East on Friday, so Young will likely sit out against the Magic on Sunday. That will give him a few days to rest before they head to Orlando for the Play-In Tournament next week.
